ASME BPVC Section VIII Div.1- Pressure Vessel Design Course
This standard is the most widely used design code for design of pressure vessels. This course aims to give technical knowledge to students and engineers who intend to be involved in design of pressure vessels used in oil, gas, and petrochemical industries and also thermal power plants. In this course a comprehensive examination of the requirements of ASME BPVC Section VIII, Div.1 including design, materials, fabrication, inspection, and testing of pressure vessels will be presented. Interpretation of the more ASME paragraphs (U, UG, UW, UCS, UHA, and ASME Appendixes) along with explanation of fundamental principles and equations and how to apply the code requirements are main goals of this course. Furthermore, an overview of common design codes like standard EN13445 will be presented.
- Revision of ASME BPVC Section VIII Div.1-2023 will be examined.
