ASCE 07-16: Seismic and Wind Load Analyses

American Society of Civil Engineers-07 (ASCE 07), as a reference is used by mechanical engineers to design mechanical components against seismic and wind loads. Calculation of minimum design loads of wind and seismic for design of equipment and piping systems is the most important goal of this course, because those components should withstand wind and seismic loads during their operation. Selection of importance factor, appropriate load combinations, seismic acceleration, and other effective parameters required in designing of mechanical components will be discussed.
